CITY OF EAST ORANGE STREET PAVING INITIATIVE

The City of East Orange is proud to say, that we are currently undertaking one of the largest, City-wide, street paving and milling projects in the City’s history; repairing and repaving well over 50% of the City’s street during the 2007 construction season. 

As individuals commute through the City of East Orange they will most likely notice : Departments hard at work repairing sewer manholes and replacing /repairing the street drains; crews repairing gas lines and telephone manholes.

This coordinated effort, with Departments of the City of East Orange, PSE&G, and Verizon, shows what can be done when working together towards the achievement of a common goal. 

During this process, we will do our utmost to minimize the impact on citizens and motorists, however, some inconvenience is inevitable and it may be wise to adjust your departure time accordingly.  We are confident that the outcome from this extensive project will prove to be a benefit to all East Orange residents, and to all those visiting and traveling East Orange roadways.
