Resident should call the Department of Public Works @ 973-266-5337 during normal working hours to be put on the planting schedule, based on availability of trees.

If the event occurred in the city of East Orange, visit the Office of Vital Statistics, 143 New Street, East Orange, NJ.  For a fee of $10.00 you can obtain a copy of the birth certificate or death certificate.

 ... apply for a passport?

...apply for a marriage license (obtain a copy)?
If the event will occur or occurred in the City of East Orange you must call the Office of Vital Statistics at 973-266-5450  or 973-266-5451 for an appointment to get a marriage license application or obtain a copy of it.  The fee is $28.00 (copy is $10.00) 

... get a copy of a police report?
Police reports can be obtained at The Record Bureau in police headquarters, 15 South Munn Avenue.  The  front counter is open to the public Monday through Friday 8:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. (excluding holidays).  Reports can be picked up during these hours. Reports or requests for reports cannot be taken over the phone, faxed or sent via e-mail. Requests for reports can be made in person or in certain cases by mail.  It is suggested, however, that you call before requesting a report to confirm that the report has been received in the Record Bureau and the exact cost of receiving a copy of same.  Please provide as much information as possibly when requesting a copy of a report, i.e. case number.  If the case number is not known, record bureau personnel can search for the report by a name of parties involved, date, location or type of incident. The normal fee for a copy of a report is 0.50 per page (most reports usually consist of 2-4 pages).  The cost may vary substantially for attorneys requesting discovery for clients depending on the amount of material requested.
