EAST ORANGE, November 12, 2009--Mayor Robert Bowser announces a new Census testing site at the City’s Department of Employment and Training, located at 7 Glenwood Avenue.

The site will serve as East Orange’s location where residents can apply to volunteer in the 2010 Census initiative beginning on April 1, 2010. He is joined by City Administrator Reginald Lewis, Employment and Training Director M.J. Peterson, and Constance Jackson, who is the Partnership Specialist from the regional office of the U.S. Census Bureau.


This testing site will afford residents an opportunity to participate in this initiative. The Mayor stressed the importance of all citizens to get involved in the effort, which helps bring funds for services provided by the City to all residents. For more information please call (866) 861-2010.
