Bed Bugs occur nearly worldwide. Although they became relatively scarce during the latter part of the 20th century, their populations have resurged in abundance in recent years. Health Officer for the East Orange Department of Health and Human Services Rochelle Williams-Evans offers suggestions to assist in eliminating bed bugs. She recommends spraying 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol on bed linens, mattresses and cloth-covered furniture, and particularly keeping sleeping areas free of clutter.
