The City of East Orange will be participating in the 2009 Summer Food Service Program from June 22, 2009 to September 4, 2009. The Summer Food Service Program is a federal program of the Food and Nutrition Services, United States Department of Agriculture. This program provides all children 18 years of age and under with the same free meal in accordance with a menu approved by the state agency regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age. Any person who believes they have been discriminated against in any USDA related activity should write immediately to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington, D.C. 20250.
