EAST ORANGE, NJ…On Tuesday, September 16, celebrated songstress and East Orange native Dionne Warwick choose the elementary school she once attended and which now bears her name, the Dionne Warwick Institute, as the platform for the initial public presentation of her new children’s book, “Say A Little Prayer” before a teeming house of excited students.

East Orange City officials, including Mayor Robert L. Bowser, Board of Education members and school administrators joined the students in warmly receiving Ms. Warwick and listened attentively as she read excerpts from the autobiographical story. An additional bonus to Ms. Warwick’s visit was a free copy of her book distributed to each student of the school.
