Mayor Bowser Presents Awards to Winners of St. Barnabas Substance Abuse Prevention Poster Contest

EAST ORANGE…Mayor Robert L. Bowser hosted 18 students at City Hall on Tuesday, May 25th from Ms. Erica Currie’s fifth grade class from the Ecole Toussaint Louverture School in East Orange. Ms. Currie’s students participated in a poster contest sponsored by the Institute for Prevention of the Saint Barnabas Behavioral Health Network Teach-In Program which occurred in April. The object of the contest was to get out the message about the importance of the prevention of substance abuse with alcohol, tobacco and drugs.

Mayor Bowser presented awards to David Francis, who won second place and a $25.00 gift certificate to Toys R Us, with first prize and a $50.00 gift certificate going to Sabrina Hunte.
