City of East Orange Housing Challenges and Opportunities Symposium

What:         Information on intervention, prevention and education for East Orange residents facing foreclosures.

 

In response to the recent foreclosure crisis facing many New Jersey homeowners, the City of East Orange has partnered with the Rutgers University Cornwall Center for Metropolitan Studies to host a symposium and assist East Orange homeowners and tenants affected by this crisis.  Representatives from several community-based agencies will be present to provide information about proactive and preventative measures to help residents understand their rights and options.  

 

The following agencies will be on site to offer one-on-one foreclosure counseling:

  • Rutgers University Cornwall Center for Metropolitan Studies

  • Brand New Day

  • Tri-City Peoples, Inc.

  • New Jersey Citizen Action

  • East Orange Office of Emergency Management

  • East Orange Division of Neighborhood Housing and Revitalization
