What:         Free Rabies Clinic OPEN to East Orange Residents ONLY

Saturday, June 7, 2008, the City of East Orange Department of Health and Human Services will hold a clinic offering free rabies shots for dogs and cats. Residents can bring their pets to the East Orange Fire Department Headquarters located at 486 Martin Luther King Boulevard (formerly Main Street) from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 P.M.

The City requires that all vicious dogs be muzzled, and owners should not feed them six hours prior to immunization. All dogs must be accompanied by an adult and brought in a carrier or on a leash.

Because this service is only being offered to residents of the City of East Orange, proof of residency is required. Dogs must be properly licensed by the City in order to be vaccinated. Licenses will be made available on this date. The charge will be $7.00 for dogs with proof of spaying or neutering, and $10.00 for those who are not.

For more information, please contact the East Orange Animal Control Division at (973) 266-5109 or view/print this flyer.
