3rd Annual City-Wide Family Day Picnic brought to you by Mayor Robert L. Bowser and the members of the East Orange City Council in 2008.  

This year's Elmwood Park event (corner of Elmwood Avenue and Oak Street) is planned for Saturday, August 9th (rain date Saturday, August 16th) so save the date and join the fun....  The event is free to all residents of East Orange and there are activities for all ages!  Want to see photos from previous years?  Click here.

The preparations are underway, coordinated by Larry Schumacher, and we are looking for your help to make this event an even bigger success than last year.  Specifically, we need sponsors for the equipment, activities, rides, services, food, and t-shirts.  If your business is interested in being a sponsor, click here for more information.

We also need volunteers to help with many aspects of the event.  It is a lot of work to feed an entertain 3,000 people and many hands make light work, so please volunteer to participate in the festivities by working a 2-hour shift.  If you are interested, fill out our contact form and let us know you want to volunteer.
